CENTRAL TRANSPORT PARTICIPATES IN CHARITY CONVOY
Warren, Michigan, May 13, 2016
- Central Transport, LLC, participated in Guinness World Record breaking truck convoy for Charity.
The event hosted by RoadPro, took place Mother’s Day in Lancaster, Pennsylvania with proceeds benefitting Make-A-Wish for Philadelphia, Northern Delaware and Susquehanna Valley. This was the 27th annual Mother’s Day convoy, an event which continues to grow year after year. This year, the convoy had 590 trucks participate, and expects to raise more than $300,000 when the final total is calculated.
Central Transport employees donated $875 in support of the event and local terminal employees attended the event and drove a 2017 Peterbilt 579 in the 26 mile convoy. Children and event attendees enjoyed a morning of exploring and visiting with driving participants, games, and entertainment prior to the start of the convoy. Local attendees sat along the route while drivers waved and honked for the spectators. This event represents just one of multiple charitable endeavors supported by Central Transport employees throughout the year.
