DOCK OPERATION ENHANCEMENTS

Warren, Michigan, January 22, 2016 - Central Transport, LLC, one of the nation’s most technologically advanced less-than-truckload (LTL) carriers announces network enhancements in loading operation.

Over the past six months, Central Transport, LLC has made significant operational changes, hiring more than 800 dock workers and continuing to do so. The dock employees are quality focused individuals dedicated to safe, secure, and superior loading practices. This strategic realignment of dock operations has created a more seamless network by enabling faster freight handling while also improving load quality. The consistency of release times has increased as dockworkers are able to have all trailers loaded, closed and ready to depart as drivers arrive. Accordingly, drivers are able to utilize more of their time picking up and delivering freight as customer demand continues to require.

The 176 terminal network has seen an overall positive ripple effect of efficiency and quality control system wide in spite of external factors like negative weather patterns and increased traffic congestion in major cities. The company is pleased to be able to offer customers an enhanced service product, and has plans for further innovations throughout the calendar year.

Customers are able to find their local facility by visiting the company’s website, www.centraltransport.com.
