CENTRAL TRANSPORT OPENS AN ACTIVITY CENTER AND SERVICE CENTER IN NEW BUFFALO, MICHIGAN

- Central Transport, one of the nation’s most technologically advanced less-than-truckload (LTL) carriers announced today that it has opened an Activity Center and Service Center in New Buffalo, Michigan.
Located at 19819 South M-239 in New Buffalo, the 69,000 square foot facility sits on 68.47 acres, features 149 trailer doors and employees 21.
“By opening an Activity Center in New Buffalo, we will increase our next day market between Michigan, Northern Illinois and Northern Indiana,” said John Locke, Central Transport Executive Vice President. “Our new facility is a centralized location that allows for a more efficient freight cycle.”
The New Buffalo terminal is large enough to facilitate and allow for growth for Central Transport’s customers while the new Service Center will help Central Transport keep its fleet of trailers updated and operational through the vast maintenance area.
