EVERYTHING’S BIGGER IN TEXAS AND NOW SO IS CENTRAL TRANSPORT
Warren, Michigan, November 24, 2006
- In a move to expand its direct coverage and further reduce transit times, Central Transport® today announced the opening of a new customer service center in Irving, TX. This service center is one of two Central Transport facilities serving the Dallas/Ft. Worth market.
The new service center will improve Central Transport’s operational efficiency and provide the needed capacity to serve the growing market in the Dallas metropolitan area. Its presence will allow Central Transport to better serve local commerce and satisfy customer service needs. Texas is a growing market for Central Transport and this new service center demonstrates Central Transport’s commitment to the region.
During the past six months, Central Transport has dramatically increased its direct coverage and slashed transit times throughout its US and Canadian service area by strategically adding service centers and incorporating new technology. At the same time, the company has invested heavily in additional company-employed drivers and in new tractors and trailers to add capacity to one of the youngest fleets in the industry.
The Central Transport® brand, marketed by Central Transport International, Inc., is a major less-than-truckload (LTL) service reaching across most of North America. The company, based in suburban Detroit, is part of a group of transportation-related companies owned by privately held CenTra, Inc., which Forbes ranks among the largest 500 private companies in America.
