THREEPEAT! CENTRAL TRANSPORT RECEIVES CARRIER OF THE YEAR AWARD FOR THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR!
Warren, Michigan, October 30, 2006
- Schneider Logistics, a premiere provider of transportation, logistics and intermodal services, awarded Central Transport with its 2006 Carrier of The Year Award at the fourth annual Carrier Recognition Conference at historic Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI, on September 12th, 2006. The Schneider Logistics Carrier Symposium honors carriers for their exceptional performance in transportation services. This is the third consecutive year it has awarded Central Transport with its prestigious Carrier of the Year Award.
Schneider Logistics, which uses over 1,300 carriers, invited more than 300 of its highest-performing carriers from all modes of transportation to attend the daylong annual event titled “Transportation Transformation: Enhancing Your Value in the Shifting Global Supply Chain”. The event included discussions on industry issues impacting carriers and their businesses including the persistent driver shortage, rising fuel costs and the changing dynamics of the U.S. economy to an import-based system. This year, Schneider Logistics recognized fourteen carriers for their outstanding service in their respective categories, with Central Transport receiving the only award as National LTL Carrier.
“Central Transport is extremely honored to win its third Carrier of The Year Award from Schneider Logistics”, said Wil DeOrsey, Executive Vice President of Operations for Central Transport. “This recognition is a result of the strong partnership Central Transport and Schneider Logistics have formed and reflects all our efforts to consistently maintain the attitude of going above and beyond to service our customers. We realize how rigorous the qualifying criteria and evaluation process are for this award and we are exceptionally proud to have been judged as consistently providing the high level of service and type of flexibility and available capacity that Schneider Logistics expects from its carriers.”
Selection criteria for the award include on-time performance, ease of doing business, claims performance, e-business capabilities and integration with Schneider Logistics. Award winners were presented a lead-crystal award and a Green Bay Packer ‘Number 1’ jersey with their company name and the Schneider Logistics logo.
